Doing the site survey I understood that this project will consist of a few parts. We were talking about converting the area between kitchen extension and boundary wall into a nice lounge with a vaulted ceiling and lots of glass… The second part was to do something with the kitchen roof to be able to install a Velux window and the third part was to cover the side alley into possible storage for bikes and other small stuff.
To have a better understanding of possible solutions we did a 3D visualization prior we started so everybody is happy with the final result.
In general, it was a pretty straight forward job. For windows and doors, we went with uPVC 72mm frame to keep costs down but all glazing was triple glazed filled with argon gas. To stay current, Anthracite Grey was the color preference for new windows and doors.
Our high-performance fiberglass roofing solution was installed on all three roofs – new extension, kitchen roof, and side alley. In-situ, cold-applied, glass-reinforced polyester fiberglass roofing provides a powerful, leak-free, long-lasting alternative to traditional roofing materials.
A vertical Quinn Adagio V70 Single radiator was used as a heating source for extension and it fitted well with new contemporary surroundings.
The project went smoothly, the weather stayed decent and we finished it in about 8 weeks. Painted and decorated.
Another happy customer!
